Scaleup Landing Pad Hamburg

Scaleup Landing Pad Hamburg:
Supporting international growth for scaleup businesses

The Scaleup Landing Pad Hamburg supports young international companies to scale their business in Germany and Europe from the City of Hamburg. The offer aims at connecting dynamic businesses in the fields of sustainable mobility and logistics with key players and business partners in the Hamburg Metropolitan Region, and supplies them with systematic support on this venture.

Participation secures one-on-one guidance and allows scaleups to choose from a range of tailor-made incentives and services by professional providers and the Hamburg Invest team.

Business Development: active matchmaking of scaleups with relevant business partners, support in initiating, finding financing and implementing pilot projects.

Living & Workspace: up to 8 weeks accommodation in a furnished flat in the centre of Hamburg as well as up to 8 weeks co-working space / individual office.

Location Consulting: market and location analysis, advice on organisational and process development, recruitment services to determine staffing needs and hire new employees.

Business Services: Marketing support and administrative support on issues such as visas & work permits, insurance, legal & tax, company registration, etc.

The Scaleup Landing Pad Hamburg is aimed at young innovative clean tech businesses looking to solve major sustainability challenges in the sectors of mobility, logistics, energy and building, including corresponding fields such as AI, block chain, hydrogen, etc. As Germany's mobility and logistics hub, centre of the northern German hydrogen ecosystem and home to Europe's largest inner-city development project, Hamburg is better suited than any other location to scale clean tech solutions. The Landing Pad makes it easier than ever to set foot in Germany and Europe.

Any scaleup with a solution in the sectors outlined above can apply, if they:
● have a proven product-market fit in their home market
● are in a strong growth phase
● have yet to expand into the German market
● want to unlock Hamburg’s ecosystem for scaling their business

The Landing Pad is conducted by Hamburg Invest on behalf of Hamburg’s Ministry of Economy and Innovation. Their aim is to make the city’s strengths and advantages visible to international scaleups and to foster innovation and future-oriented projects in Hamburg.
