What are the requirements for submitting an entry?
Startups that are between 2 and 4 years old with a solution for the city of the future in the fields of mobility, logistics or greentech can apply. Additional requirements are a Minimum Viable Product (MVP) and a sustainable business model.
How do I submit an entry for the Future Hamburg Award?
All participants must apply online via our submission form.
Note: The form can be saved online and thus filled out successively. Since we cannot guarantee a successful save due to individual browser settings, we recommend to temporarily save the longer texts in a separate document.
How long does it take to fill out the form and what do I need?
The submission form consists of 41 questions ranging from general company information about the competition and team to the impact of your startup. Please have your pitch deck and company logo at hand.
Is there a submission fee?
Participation in the Future Hamburg Award is free of charge.
What are the judging criteria?
The jury evaluates the startups according to the following criteria:
1. Product (USP & Innovation Level)
2. Market Potential
3. Competition
4. Business Strategy
5. Funding
6. Experience
7. Impact
8. Presentation
How will the winners be selected?
After the submission deadline, the jury reviews all submissions and determines a short list of ten nominees. Following the judging session in August 2023, nominees will be announced by Mid-September 2023 and the winning team will be announced in October 2023.
